Pet Guests Welcome

VIP pet guests and their well-behaved humans are welcome in Rosemary Cottage, Bramley Cottage, Orchard Cottage, Pumphouse Cottage and Old Farmhouse subject to a pet guest fee. Many of the cottages have enclosed rear gardens. There is a dog walking / play paddock and we offer a sitting / walking service incase our VIPs don’t fancy your planned activities.

My daughter booked a cottage at Old Bridwell on my behalf as she was due to be married on the 28th May 2020, unfortunately due to Covid-19 like many others we had to cancel. Since then we have received endless promises by Steve the General Manager that the deposits would be refunded in full only to find nothing happens. He comes over as a really nice guy just wanting to help but in reality dealing with him is like something you see on Watch Dog. I definitely would NOT RECOMMEND.

We had booked to stay at Old Bridwell for our wedding in May 2020, unfortunately due to Covid-19 everything had to be cancelled. The manager Steve promised a full refund on all 4 of the cottages we had booked, however 3 months later after endless false promises and excuses from him, we still have not received any refund. I would certainly not recommend Old Bridwell.

Stunning! Cottages were immaculate and extremely well equipped. Lots of extra touches that made the stay very special. The cream tea and welcome basket of groceries were delicious. We were in one of several cottages hired for a large wedding party and it made a fabulous base from which we could all celebrate this special occasion. Could not recommend highly enough

A wonderful place to stay, with so much history, extremely friendly managers and excellent hosts!!! So many places to see from a great spot!!! And dog friendly too!! What.more is there to ask??

I was due to stay at the old bridwell in June for my wedding but due to Covid-19 we had to cancel I have been waiting since March for my refund. He keeps promising that he’s going to pay it, but he keeps spindling a load of lies or ‘forgetting’ would not recommend at all.

Amazing stay here for Christmas 🎄 cottage was immaculately clean, lovely little touches left out like homemade scones, champagne, fresh bread and eggs 😊 just a beautiful, idyllic place in a lovely setting. Can’t wait to return in 2020!

Just got back from a 3 night stay for a family wedding - absolutely fantastic ! Attention to detail second to none - the most comfortable cottage I have Ever stayed in . Wonderful welcome hamper kept us going for 3 breakfasts ! Wanted for absolutely nothing. Steve and the team go over and above I could not recommend more. 5 stars and more for this little gem - we will return as so much to do in the area x absolutely amazing 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

A delightful cottage in a delightful location, an absolute gem of a place, so much kindness shown by Steve towards us and even to our dog too, everyone catered for, lovely welcome gifts making it home from home, 5* break, will definitely be back, thank you so much for all the attention, thoroughly recommend a stay here , well done Old Bridwell, perfect!

Amazing stay at Old Bridwell this weekend. Steve, Tanya and the team were fantastic and the cottages were beautiful. It’s usually really daunting travelling with two small children but no such worries here. The cottage was perfect for young families. Fab goodies like clotted cream scones, chocolates, bubbles, fresh flowers, fresh bread, butter and even eggs (and much more) made the stay extra special!! Plus a cute little teepee in the living room for our toddler to play in! Thank you so much - we will definitely be back.

What can I say about this place.....from the gorgeous setting to all the little personal touches in our cottage it was just perfect! We arrived after a hellish 8 hour journey and were welcomed with a lovely hamper of treats, a bottle of fizz and even a VIP hamper for our dog Mr Kubla. The information provided on the local area was extensive and literally covered all bases had I needed a dentist or a vet all I had to do was flick through our welcome pack. We decided last minute that having a baby sitter on the evening would be nice, this was no trouble either and with the arrival of Ocean we were able to relax and enjoyed our family wedding child free ! � Kubla was also treated to several evening strolls and lots of cuddles. All in all I would absolutely recommend anyone visiting the area books a stay at these fab cottages. Thanks again Ali and gang. X

My parents and Nan stayed here for a week at Christmas. It was beautiful and just amazing. Tanya and Steve were really welcoming. Apparently the welcome scones were amazing...I didng get any by time I got round, they had been eaten. Def worth staying here

We have just returned from an incredible weekend away in the Old Farmhouse at Old Bridwell over New Year and would certainly recommend it to others. The cottage had bags of character and was far bigger than expected. It comfortably slept 8 of us, with plenty of social space, and reflected much better value for money than anywhere else we found over this period. Steve’s hospitality was second to none, he was very communicative before our visit and was always on hand when required during our stay to give tips on the local area/help us settle into the house. His family even left us some fizz in the fridge and a doggy hamper for our four legged companion. Thanks Steve and Tanya we hope to be back soon! Sarah and friends.
